C’s flashback began as a humble stall at Glebe Markets selling antique collectables 20 years ago. As business progressed the stall moved towards selling second-hand clothing, finding their style to be particularly popular amongst the regulars of the markets. Within 2 years they had expanded to a brick and mortar store in Newtown and later in Surry Hills.
At C’s Flashback you will find a vast assortment of vintage clothing sourced from all over the world, particularly American and Australian vintage. Popular C’s Flashback stock includes denim, leather and military jackets, button-up shirts, football jerseys and floral dresses. Each shop also stocks a wide variety of shoes, ties and belts for men and women.
While in the beginning their focus centred on vintage clothing, they found that their exotic garments attracted considerable attention from customers. Patrons can delve into the racks to find gems such as elaborate fur coats, skin-tight rainbow tights or knee-high leather boots. For this reason, C’s Flashback is a common hub for customers buying for their next fancy-dress party, with each shop’s traffic getting especially busy before Halloween, the Sydney Mardi Gras and Christmas. The C’s Flashback stores are also very popular amongst university students. With quality low-cost exotic clothing in the heart of Newtown, the King Street store provides many of the costume pieces for fancy-dress uni-parties throughout the year.
While all three stores still remain since the beginning, there are plans to relocate the Surry hills store within the suburb to a more convenient location. The Newtown and Surry Hills stores are open 7 days while the Glebe Markets stall is open every Saturday.
